Upcoming Shows

I will be at the Tucson Gem and Mineral extravaganza five days -- February 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 -- Friday through Tuesday.  The hotel will again be the Ramada Limited. This place is at 664 N. Freeway Ave. Tucson AZ 85745, 520/ 622-6491. The room is probably #208, but check.  I am readily accessible by phone and email at home beforehand and will be in the course of the stay in Tucson at the hotel.    The staff at the motel know me well and will be good about taking and forwarding messages.   It might be prudent to contact me before the show by email or phone so that I may bring with me or send ahead materials that a collector, carver or other specialist may wish to see and consider.  I will also be at the scheduled meetings and gatherings of the Friends of Jade. There is an opening on 5 February and a banquet on the 6th.

In Tucson shall be officially listed (Dick Mandell's Blue Jade")in the massive "guide" with some data and my special products.  I shall not have a published position in an official, named exhibition requiring a stay of weeks.  However, I should be accessible by cell phone and email long beforeand will call on interested persons, if requested.

I shall again do the Denver Gem and Mineral Show in early September.  The show is at the Denver Merchandise Mart just off I-25 near downtown Denver.  My own spot with the big complex is just now uncertain for 2010, but I shall be easy to find..  The show's website is easy to manage and is comprehensive -- denvermineralshow.com.  As I write this in December 2009, I do no know where I will be staying (probably at the Motel Six about two miles north where a lot of Asian dealers stay>)  By that time I shall also have a cellphone and will, as always, be checking the email often.  As before, I will have a lot of the finest jadeites that exist.  Especially blue and black ones and a lot of patterned jadeites unique to Guatemala.  It may be wise to contact me about bringing some suitable, specific material before I leave home.  803/ 771 0246    dick.mandell@gmail.c
